This natural process red bourbon varietal is grown in the village of Kibya in the Western Province of Rwanda. The owner Gilbert Gatali is a coffee enthusiast with over 13 years in specialty coffee. Gilbert was a sprudge award winner for notable coffee producer and we are very lucky to have the opportunity to import and roast this very beautiful coffee. It has a very complex flavor profile with a syrupy body and sweet notes of a tropical fruit tart, followed by the rich sweetness of dates and finishes like a chocolate wafer.
